I will dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old forecast a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
